Wahed is a global investment platform that strives to invest ethically and provide its users returns through means that do not compromise their moral values. Their offering consists of a mobile app that allows you to automate investment, choosing a risk appetite that is right for you. They also offer stocks and shares, Halal workplace pensions and business investment accounts.
The Brief
Wahed needed to gain more brand awareness and talk to audiences who were typically not used to investing. During the reverse briefing session, we broke the audience into 5 different portfolio profiles that have historically been challenging for Wahed. We co-created a brief that allowed Wahed to open its doors to new customers and identify an audience that would be open to using Wahed products.

The Approach
Our task was to build a marketing campaign with a series of stills, videos and animations to drive engagement (comments, likes and shares) with their brand. We also targeted and encouraged audiences that would not usually use conventional investment products to open a Wahed account and start investing. Our tireless market research helped us segment Wahed’s audience, personify them in comic book style and create animated characters that the different audiences could relate to. We also built a fun and engaging digital experience that helped users identify which investment personalty they were most aligned with.
